Basic Training

Basic dog training typically involves teaching fundamental obedience commands and behaviors that are essential for a well-behaved and sociable pet. Here are some key elements included in basic training:

  1. Sit Command:
Teaching your dog to sit on command is one of the most basic and essential commands. It helps with impulse control and lays the foundation for further training.

  2. Stay Command:
Teaching your dog to stay in one place until released is crucial for safety and control in various situations, such as crossing roads or greeting guests.

  3. Come (Recall) Command:
Teaching your dog to come to you when called is important for their safety and allows you to maintain control when off-leash.

  4. Down Command:
Teaching your dog to lie down on command helps with impulse control and can be useful in situations where you need your dog to settle calmly.

  5. Leash Walking:
Teaching your dog to walk calmly on a leash without pulling is essential for enjoyable walks and maintaining control in public spaces.

  6. Basic Manners:
This includes teaching your dog not to jump on people, not to bark excessively, and to greet people politely.

  7. Socialization:
Exposing your dog to various people, animals, environments, and experiences in a positive way helps them become well-adjusted and confident.

Puppy Training

Puppy training is crucial for laying the foundation of good behaviour and socialization skills. Here are some key elements involved in our puppy training:

  1. Socialization:
Introducing your puppy to different people, animals, environments, and experiences in a positive and controlled manner helps them become well-adjusted and confident adults.

  2. Basic Obedience Commands:
Teaching essential commands such as sit, stay, come, down, and leave it using positive reinforcement techniques like treats, praise, and play.

  3. Leash Training:
Introducing your puppy to wearing a leash and teaching them to walk calmly on a leash without pulling, using positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviour.

  4. Crate Training:
Introducing your puppy to a crate as a safe and comfortable space, and teaching them to associate it with positive experiences, such as meals and rest, to aid in house training and provide them with a den-like retreat.

  5. Preventing Problem Behaviours:
Addressing and preventing common problem behaviours such as jumping, barking, chewing, and digging through positive reinforcement training techniques and management strategies.

Advanced Training

Advanced dog training builds upon the foundation of basic obedience commands and behaviours, focusing on refining skills, increasing reliability, and introducing more complex tasks. Here are some elements typically involved in our advanced dog training:

  1. Advanced Obedience Commands:
Teaching more complex commands such as heel, place, stand, and wait, requiring greater focus, precision, and control from the dog.

  2. Off-Leash Training:
Developing reliable off-leash obedience, including recall, heel, and stay commands, to allow the dog to respond obediently and safely without the need for a leash.

  3. Distance and Duration:
Increasing the distance and duration of commands, requiring the dog to maintain obedience over longer distances and for extended periods of time.

  4. Distraction Training:
Exposing the dog to various distractions and teaching them to maintain focus and obedience in the presence of distractions such as other dogs, people, noises, and environmental stimuli.

  5. Handler-Dog Communication:
Strengthening communication and teamwork between the handler and the dog, developing a deeper understanding and bond that enhances performance and reliability.

  6. Consistency and Reinforcement:
Maintaining consistent training sessions and reinforcement of desired behaviours, as well as addressing any challenges or setbacks with patience, positive reinforcement, and appropriate corrective measures.
